On the morning of September 13th, more than 950 new students of the 7th course of Kien Giang University officially entered the new school year 2021 - 2022 through online learning to ensure training progress and safety for students in the context of the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic.

In this school year, more than 950 new students registered for admission (phase 1) in 18 training majors of the school, bringing the total number of students in the whole school to nearly 4,500 students, of which, majors such as Business Administration, Accounting, Information Technology, Law, Banking and Finance and English are the groups of majors with the highest number of students enrolled.

According to Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Rector of Kien Giang University, students of the school's courses were studying theoretical subjects online. Practical and experimental subjects were postponed until Kien Giang People's Committee allowed schools to resume. When studying on campus, students were completing health declarations and had to fully comply with the 5K regulations of the Ministry of Health.

Students interacted and learnt on an online platform.

"In the context that many localities are implementing social distancing, Kien Giang University has applied the form of online registration for qualified candidates. At the same time, we are organizing regular admissions and admitting students in batches on September 27^th and October 18th” - Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh said.

To prepare for the new school year, the school proactively organized training and deployed virtual classroom packages on Zoom to facilitate teaching and learning, as well as controlled the quality of training.

Particularly for new students of the new course, the school spent 4 weeks instructing on skills, using online learning tools and software; how to exploit and use digital libraries; developed essential soft skills for university study before starting formal studies.
