Welcome performance

In a joyful and warm atmosphere, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Vice Rector of the school reviewed the tradition of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20th, 1982 - November 20th, 2018).

Speaking at the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Thai Thanh Luom - Rector of the University said that more than 4 years of establishment and development Kien Giang University has been constantly growing. On the day the school was established, there were only nearly 40 staff and lecturers. Up to now, the University has more than 300 officials, lecturers and employees; nearly 5,000 students are attending the college, undergraduate and graduate levels. In the process of operation, the University has encountered many difficulties and obstacles, but thanks to the solidarity, efforts, and constructive determination of the collective, the University always fulfills its political tasks, contributing to the human resources training career for Kien Giang province and the Mekong Delta.

On behalf of the Party Committee, the School Board of Directors Assoc.Prof.Dr. Thai Thanh Luom commends and acknowledges the contributions of teachers, officials and employees of Kien Giang University. At the same time, he would like to send his best wishes to the retired and teachers in charge with good health, families’ prosperity, and much success gaining in life and work to devote to the career of education and future generation training for the homeland and the country.

Also in the meeting, the lecturers had many sharing about their teaching experience, memories about the school and their profession.
