On February 24th , Kien Giang University organized training in preparation for welcoming an external assessment team on the quality of educational institutions.

Training for key staff in the University

The training class took place over 2 days February 24^th /25^th. Joined the training 7 groups of participants: leaders of units, heads/deputy heads of departments; all members of the Self-Evaluation Council, Administration Department, School Service Center, Information and Library Center; officials of units; lecturers of specialized departments; businesses, employers; alumni of the school; school students.

Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh – Rector spoke at the training session

With main contents such as: summary report of educational institution self-assessment according to the Ministry of Education and Training's quality assessment standards for higher education institutions (Evaluation period 2016 - 2020); educational philosophy of Kien Giang University; training materials for interviewing relevant parties according to Circular No. 12/2017/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Dr. Le Hoang Vu, quality assurance expert, guided the training.

Speaking at the training session, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Rector of Kien Giang University informed that the preparation of evaluation of the quality of educational institutions is the result and effort of the collective of officials, lecturers, and laborers in the university during the period of time. Achieving quality assurance certification will create many advantages in the school's autonomy in opening training codes; recruitment and use of officials; improving quality reputation... Therefore, this was a key activity, creating a turning point for the school to develop further.

Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh requested that the collective should try harder to achieve the set goals and devote all their efforts to causing the external assessment of the quality of educational institutions successful as expected.

It is expected that on March 14^th , Kien Giang University will welcome an evaluation team from outside the educational institution to work.
