Cooperating with the Department of Education and Training of Kien Giang province to improve the quality of teaching, research, and application of science and technology for high school students.

On April 26th, Kien Giang University held a signing ceremony of the Coordination Regulations with the Department of Education and Training of Kien Giang province on the implementation of education and training tasks for the period 2021 - 2025.

Attending the signing ceremony there were Mr. Tran Quang Bao - Director of the Department of Education and Training; Board of Directors of Kien Giang University and leaders of high schools in Kien Giang province; leaders of units under the University.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Rector of Kien Giang University hoped that in the coming time, the two units would be more closely connected, sharing resources and teaching staff; The signing of the Comprehensive Cooperation Regulations with the Department of Education and Training of Kien Giang province aimed to help high school students of the province practice scientific research skills; created an environment for them to practice English and apply information technology, thereby discovering factors and talents for further training.

“Students achieving high scores in exams and wishing to attend Kien Giang University will receive a full scholarship, equivalent to the tuition fee, and full support during their studies at the University,” affirmed Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh.

According to Mr. Tran Quang Bao, Director of the Provincial Department of Education and Training, the comprehensive cooperation between the Department and high schools in the province and Kien Giang University will create conditions for students to access reality, combine learning with practice, have the opportunity to practice and conduct scientific research in more fields, thereby applying knowledge into practice.

After discussion and agreement, the two units signed a regulation on coordination of activities, with the following contents: Kien Giang University proactively and closely coordinates with the Department of Education and Training of Kien Giang province to unify the viewpoints, contents, and methods of organizing and implementing programs and plans to achieve the goals of education, training, scientific research and connecting the community in Kien Giang province and high schools; coordinate to organize competitions, such as: Youth Informatics Competition, English Olympic Competition and Competition to learn about other social science fields for high school students in the province, ... in person or online depending on the actual situation of the two units, gradually connecting and linking high school level with university level for students.

In addition, the two units was coordinating to organize seminars related to scientific research, application of information technology in teaching and learning activities for Kien Giang provincial high schools’ students and teachers; support and create conditions for Kien Giang University in organizing and implementing training programs and scientific research for Kien Giang provincial high schools, ...

Also on this occasion, Kien Giang University signed agreements with nearly 40 high schools in the province to cooperate in enrollment.
