In the complicated situation of Covid - 19, in order for training to take place smoothly, ensure teaching quality, and assess students' learning quality, Kien Giang University was considering selecting information technology application service providers to serve and support teaching, learning, exam organization, and work management through a system of management software.

Overview of the working session with VNPT Kien Giang

On the morning of July 16^th, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group, Kien Giang province branch (VNPT Kien Giang) had a working session with Kien Giang University to introduce and demonstrate some information technology applications at university.

Attending the meeting there were representatives of VNPT Kien Giang and Chau Thanh branch; Board of Directors of Kien Giang University; leaders of units under and affiliated to the university. The meeting took place face-to-face and online to reduce the concentration of people at office.

Specifically, VNPT introduced and ran a demo of applications on online learning and testing systems; vnedu system, electronic contact numbers; document and operation management, and some products applying information technology for operation management such as: human resource management, asset management, paperless meeting rooms, fingerprint attendance, branded messaging service, etc.

After the meeting, Kien Giang University was sending them to the specialized departments and faculties under the University for trial use to evaluate the quality, ensure the necessary criteria and move towards application plans in the coming time.
