Ngày 8/3, Công đoàn cơ sở Trường Đại học Kiên Giang đã tổ chức họp mặt kỷ niệm 114 năm ngày Quốc tế Phụ nữ (8/3/1910 – 8/3/2024) và 1.984 năm khởi nghĩa Hai Bà Trưng.

Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the School Council; Dr. Ngo Van Thien - Chairman of the Grassroots Trade Union, School Board of Directors, leaders of units and more than 150 union members attended the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Huu Tho - Vice Rector of Kien Giang University sent his best congratulations to women throughout the school and hoped that female union members would continue to promote the tradition of heroic Vietnamese women, in order to always be solid rear bases and a families’ peaceful havens.

On this occasion, the Grassroots Trade Union of Kien Giang University awarded a flower arrangement competition to celebrate International Women's Day. The results were The Trade Union of the Faculty of Agriculture and Rural Development won first prize, the Trade Union of the Faculty of Economics won second prize, the Organizational Trade Union and the Trade Union of the Faculty of Foreign Languages won third prize.
