Trường Đại học Kiên Giang tổ chức các hoạt động hưởng ngày “Sách và Văn hoá đọc Việt Nam năm 2022

On April 18th, Kien Giang University and Kien Giang Provincial Library coordinated to organize activities in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Week 2022, attracting more than 200 union members and young people to attend.

Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector of Kien Giang University shared about the importance of reading to students. 

Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Week 2022 at Kien Giang University takes place from April 12th to 21st, at the Library and Information Center.

Accordingly, the school encouraged all officials, lecturers, union members, and youth to participate and respond to the contest introducing good books with the theme "The book I love"; Organized mobile reading activities; displayed books, serving themed reading and exchange activities such as: Quiz knowledge game on mobile phones;  themes "Knowledge around us" and "I love history"; Showed scientific films, chased pictures, caught words,... all activities are held at the Information - Library Center, Kien Giang University.

Students participated in activities to respond to the week "Vietnam Books and Reading Culture 2022".

Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector of Kien Giang University said that this was the second time Kien Giang University had coordinated with Kien Giang Provincial Library to organize reading culture development activities. , activities in response to Vietnam Book Day and Reading Culture.

Through the Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Week, we aimed to continue to affirm the role and importance of books in improving knowledge, developing thinking skills, educating and training human personality; Encouraged and developed the reading movement among lecturers and students in the school.

"Hopefully each union member and young person will be a propagandist, actively reading books and forming reading habits in schools, contributing to building a learning society and spreading reading culture to the community" - Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh said.

On November 4th, 2021, the Prime Minister decided to organize Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day to replace the previous Vietnam Book Day. Accordingly, Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day is held on April 21st annually nationwide to honor readers, creators, publishers, printing, distribution, libraries, storage, collect and promote books and organizations and individuals that contribute to the development of reading culture in the community.
