On September 25^th, Kien Giang University organized an online international conference with the topic "English Language Education: Empowering your career", attracting more than 60 representatives who are speakers and English lecturers attending.

The conference attracted more than 60 representatives from 5 countries

The conference aims to facilitate exchanges and sharing of experience related to English teaching and connections among scientists, lecturers, and students studying, researching, and teaching in linguistic field.

The conference was connected, presented and took place online, with the participation of researchers from Kalasin University, Thailand; Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary; International Islamic University, Malaysia; Australian College of Vocational Education and Kien Giang University.

At the conference, the experts presented research results on methods to help teaching English more effective with 5 topics, including: Teachers' perspectives on self-study, adaptability in teaching and learning languages; The role of teachers in promoting learners' ability to self-study English in Vietnamese higher education; The role of teachers in motivating second language learning, an overview of theory and recent empirical research; English for Specific Academic Purposes (ESAP) in Malaysia - The prospect of an unexplored direction; Sharing your success in international publishing.

Opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Vice Rector of Kien Giang University emphasized: English plays a very important role in today's international integration process, as one of the conditions to connect people around the world. Finding good and appropriate techniques and methods to apply to teaching and learning English will bring better results.

Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Rector of Kien Giang University awarded the certificate of participation in presenting at the Conference to Dr. Nguyen Trung Cang - Head of Cooperation and Science and Technology Department, Kien Giang University.

“Hopefully the conference will create more positive motivation to encourage the passion for researching the English language, finding new techniques to help foreign language teaching and learning activities develop further.” – PhD. Nguyen Van Thanh said.

At the end of the Workshop, the Rector of Kien Giang University awarded certificates to 5 speakers who participated in presenting their presentations at the workshop.
