On the morning of April 5th, 2019, Southern Can Tho University paid a visit to and worked at Kien Giang University. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector, Dr. Dang Thanh Son - Chairman of the School Council and a number of teachers who are leaders, lecturers of Medicine & Pharmacy Faculty of and Nursing, leaders of Department of Training Undergraduate and Postgraduate, General Administration Department, etc...

The meeting revolved around issues to guiding the development strategy of Medicine, Pharmacy & Nursing Faculty of Kien Giang University. With many years of experience as a program advisor for many universities in opening majors related to health science, Eminent Teacher Assoc. Professor, PhD. Pham Hung Luc had many valuable shares with Kien Giang University.

After nearly 3 working hours, the meeting passed discussion and several good achievements were gained. Representatives of Kien Giang University Board of Authorities of and representatives of Southern Can Tho University Board of Authorities signed an agreement to coordinate in training 4 majors: BSc. of Medical Testing, BSc. of Imaging Diagnosis, BSc. of Automotive Engineering and BSc. of Mechanical Engineering. These are industries with many conditions as well as strong development potential at Kien Giang University.

The signing of a training cooperation agreement is both a development opportunity and a close connection between the two schools. Southern Can Tho University also made many promises in supporting Kien Giang University in building programs and preparing steps to open majors in the health science sector.
