During the admission process by reviewing transcripts, Kien Giang University (KGU) recorded a rather special case, that was, both twin sisters chose KGU and were happy to receive admission letters.

Two twin sisters admitted to Kien Giang University were Tran Ngoc Thanh and Tran Ngoc Thoi. The good news was that both sisters were accepted into the School’s Food Technology Faculty.

On the afternoon of September 14^th, 2020, Tran Ngoc Thoi and his father, uncle Tran Phuoc Thanh, went to Kien Giang University to receive the admission letters. Uncle Thanh from An Minh district, Kien Giang province shared: “I am very happy when both my daughters, Thanh and Thoi, have been admitted into Kien Giang University. My family only farm and raise shrimps, so I try to send our daughters to higher educational institution for a better future.”

Tran Ngoc Thoi also acknowledged that she was happy when both sisters had been accepted into the major they loved. After completing the admission profiles, both sisters were also registering at the Uni’s Dormitory to make their going to school more convenient, as well as saving money for the family.

In school year 2020 – 2021, Kien Giang University had 20% of its admission quota determined by the results of the 2020 GCSE exam. On October 5^th, KGU was announcing the admission results. However, during this time, KGU continued to accept applications based on academic transcripts.

With the motto of not letting any students stop attending school because of hardship, KGU always listened and shared with their students.

For candidates admitted but not yet completed the first round of admission procedure, they needed to quickly approach campus to fulfil the second round of admission procedure. In case of having financial problems to afford tuition, students needed to present with KGU academic advisors for their timely support.
