Ngày 18/10, Công đoàn cơ sở Trường Đại học Kiên Giang đã tổ chức Tọa đàm kỷ niệm 89 năm ngày thành lập Hội Liên hiệp Phụ nữ Việt Nam (20/10/1930 - 20/10/2019) và tổng kết, trao Giấy chứng nhận “Giỏi việc trường, đảm việc nhà”.

 Attending the discussion were Associate Professor, Dr. Thai Thanh Luom - Rector; MA. Huynh Kim Thuy - Chairman of the School Trade Union; Dr. Ngo Van Thien - Vice Chairman of the School's Trade Union and teachers, officials, and employees of the school.

 The seminar reviewed the history of the Vietnamese women's movement and the tradition of the Vietnam Women's Union through 88 years of construction and development; mobilized and guided female workers and employees to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's moral example and style; Cultivated the moral qualities of "Confidence - Self-respect - Loyalty - Dedication"; exchanged work experiences, study, built cultural families, and policies for female workers to raise awareness of female workers and labor officials in the period of international economic integration.

 Also during the discussion, the Grassroots Trade Union of Kien Giang University awarded certificates of "good at school work, good at home" to 137 female union workers; awarded certificates of merit to 266 outstanding union members; 58 outstanding union members were rewarded by the union Executive Committee; rewarded 12 Trade Union Groups achieving the title of Strong Trade Union Group. In addition, the Training Union Group and 2 individuals including comrade Tran Thi Anh and comrade Nguyen Thi Huong were awarded certificates of merit by the Vietnam Education Union.
