Recently, Lattanasouk Phouttavanh, a Lao student living and attending Kien Giang University, received the sad news that his biological father suddenly passed away in his hometown, but because of social distancing, he could not return to Laos to see his father for the last time. Phouttavanh and his friends asked the school leaders to set up a memorial altar for him to mourn his father.

Lattanasouk Phouttavanh was studying Information Technology at Kien Giang University, from Vientiane, Laos. Phouttavanh's father had suffered from heart disease for many years. He lived in his hometown with his wife and Phouttavanh was the only child. The heart disease suddenly relapsed and could not be cured. He passed away at the age of 60 while on the way to the hospital.

Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Party Secretary, Rector of Kien Giang University came to burn incense, expressed condolences, and encouraged the spirit of Lattanasouk Phouttavanh students at the memorial altar.

After agreeing to set up a memorial altar and send flowers, the School Board came to burn incense, encouraged and expressed condolences to Phouttavanh, arranging time for Laos fellows living together in the school dormitory to come burning an incense stick to express condolences, encourage and share the loss with Phouttavanh in the spirit of complying with the 5K of the Ministry of Health.
