The 2020 high school graduation exam scores from 14.00 to 18.50 were considered for admission to Kien Giang University.

Kien Giang University announced the admission scores for regular university admission using the 2020 high school graduation exam results, with the highest admission score entering Mathematics Education major at 18.50.

On September 25^th, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh – Rector of Kien Giang University, said that the Kien Giang University Admissions Council announced the admission scores for majors using the 2020 high school graduation exam results were from 14.00 to 18.50 points.

Accordingly, Mathematics Education major had the highest admission score of 18.50 points, followed by Business Administration with 17.00 points. The remaining majors all set admission scores at 14.00.

Based on the number of applications for each major, Kien Giang university admissions Council determined the successful candidates according to the principle of taking the highest score down until the quota in each admission round announced by the University. For candidates with the same score, priority was given to the main subject of the admission subject group.

In case candidates wanted to adjust their desires, they could go directly to the high school which they attended by September 27^th to re-register their desires adjusted.

To encourage students to register for majors in the environmental and agricultural engineering groups, Kien Giang University implemented a policy of reducing 30% of tuition fees for majors in these two groups. According to Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh, students of majors in the environmental and agricultural fields were very easy to find jobs because they were suitable for the orientation of social development, serving the human resource needs well for the development of key economic sectors of the locality.

This year, Kien Giang University enrolled 1,250 students in 16 majors, including: English; Accountancy; Business Administration; Bio-technology; Plant Science; Animal Husbandry; Aquaculture; Environmental Engineering Technology; Environmental Resource Management; Information Technology; Construction Engineering Technology; Food Technology; Law; Mathematics Pedagogy; Finance and Banking, Vietnamese Language & Culture and 300 targets of 6 majors (Aquaculture Management; Marine Science; Thermal Engineering; Electrical - Electronic Engineering; Automotive Engineering; Marine Engineering) in collaboration with Nha Trang University to train under the 2+2 method (2 years attending Kien Giang University and 2 years attending Nha Trang University).

Currently, Kien Giang University had more than 1,000 new students officially enrolled according to the high school transcript admission method.
