Opening of the essential soft skills training course for freshmen of course 7

Organizing soft skills training for new students from the beginning of the course created a favorable environment for students to train, practice during their time at school, helping freshmen improve themselves, adapt to all life circumstances in the future.

On the morning of September 3rd, Kien Giang University organized an online training course with the theme "Essential soft skills for university students" for over 700 students of course 7 (2021-2022 school year). The training course took place during 5 days (from September 3rd to 9th).

The training course was coordinated by Kien Giang University with Center for Applied Psychology and Career Guidance 4.0 JobWay to develop an essential skills training program for students with 5 topics: Skills to build a modern brand image and digital portrait; Building goals and creating motivation to study; The art of communication and winning people's hearts; From zero to hero, the journey to become a global citizen 5; Creative thinking skills applied in study and life.

Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Vice Rector of Kien Giang University attended the opening of the online training course.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Kien Giang University Vice Rector emphasized that in addition to professional training, the University always focused on modifying soft skills for students. Organizing soft skills training for freshmen from the beginning of the course was creating a favorable environment for them to train, practice during their time at the school, helping freshmen improve themselves and adapt to all life circumstances in the future.

More than 700 new students attended online training course.

"Soft skills topics will be selected by highly qualified experts with experience in training to share a lot of useful knowledge with students. Although the students have to study online, the University believed that the speakers will have many interesting activities for them so that the course achieved the expected quality. The students overcame difficulties, fully participated in classes and actively interacted and discussed with the speakers" - Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh shared.
