More than 500 students of Kien Giang University attended the startup exchange program.

On November 13th, Kien Giang University organized the first exchange program with entrepreneurs, with the theme "Limiting risks for successful startups" - 2020.

More than 500 union members and young adults attended the exchange program.

This program was organized by Kien Giang University in coordination with the National Startup Support Advisory Council - South with a series of startup activities such as: training, exchanging, organizing thematic talks, transferring the content of the National startup training program, ...

The program was attended by representatives of the National Startup Support Advisory Council - South; in-and-out provincial businesses; attracting over 500 students.

Speaking at the exchange, Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Vice President emphasized: this exchange event with entrepreneurs aimed to spread the spirit of startups; sharing experience, successes and failures of entrepreneurs in the challenging and difficult process of starting a business for young adults and students at university, especially talented and enthusiastic ones practicing startup ideas, dreams and ambitions to start their businesses to become entrepreneurs in the future.

At the exchange session, speakers and entrepreneurs gave many pieces of advice and guidance to students dreaming of starting businesses. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - permanent Vice President of the Southern National Startup Support Advisory Council said that young adults wanting to start businesses should start from being an employee, to learn information about the major and field they intend to work in; cultivate knowledge and ways of operating of businesses to draw their own lessons while still at school. According to Ms. Thuy, the path to starting a business was very long, so, they should go slowly but surely to nurture their dream.

Sharing the same opinion, MA. Nguyen Van Hung - Director of Golden Real Estate Company shared that if you wanted to start a business, you first needed a good idea that met the needs of society. According to him, young people who started a business when facing difficulties and failures often gave up, so if you wanted to start a business, kept a good spirit, practiced skills, and acquired knowledge to be able to handle business situations.

Coming to the program, Le Hong Y, a student majoring in Vietnamese Language and Culture, dreamed of starting a business in the tourism industry of her home province (Kien Giang) but did not know where to started. Y said that the program brought many useful things, helping her change her mindset and equipped herself with more knowledge to better understand the path to starting a business. She was trying to practice and study more to fulfill her passion.

Le Thi My Tran, a fourth-year student majoring in Mathematics Education, said that through the exchange session, she learned a lot from the experts. According to Tran, to start a business, you needed to cultivate professional knowledge, skills, and determine your goals and passions.

Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy awarded certificates to students who completed the course "Innovative Entrepreneurship".

On this occasion, Kien Giang University awarded the certificate of "Innovative Entrepreneurship" to 28 students attending the training course at the school.
