In order to preserve beautiful and meaningful images with the purpose of promoting the good traditional values of Vietnamese families in general, and the families of civil servants and employees of Kien Giang University in particular, Kien Giang University Trade Union organized a photo contest "Loving family". With the enthusiastic response and participation of the trade union groups, many beautiful and meaningful photos in terms of form and content were shared and sent to the Organizing Committee of the contest.

The image of a family gathering around a meal by Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, Union Group’s Student Work member, won first prize in the contest. Ms. Nga shared that family meals help foster and strengthen the affection among family members. In her meal, her family often asked, confided, and chatted with each other happily. According to Ms. Nga, a family meal with all members didn’t only create a warm, close atmosphere but also helped children feel the flavor of the dish filled with family affection.

With the photo titled "Thank you", Ms. Nguyen Le Minh Nguyet, Union Group’s Administrative member, wanted to send her thanks to each member of her family: "Among us, everyone had many places to go but only one place to return to, that was our family. I thanked my husband for creating a perfect piece of my life. I thanked him for accepting, for being tolerant, for sharing and for giving me the most sacred things. I thanked my husband for being my devoted companion. I thanked my little girl for making my life more colorful and fuller of emotions".

As for Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong - Union Group’s Economic Tourism member, in life, the most important thing to her was her family. She always felt very lucky to have a “Small Family - Great Happiness” because she always had a caring husband, sharing work, joys and sorrows in life and obedient children, good students, loving each other.

Ms. Pham Thi Kim Quyen – Union’s Food Science and Health member, believed that love in childhood was forming a good ideological foundation in children. The love of parents for their children, in addition to material care, emotional issues were also very important, and more importantly, let their children experience the natural beauty of their homeland with relatives in the family. When the family travelled together, it was the happiest time and help children have the experience of learning more about the world.

At that time, husband and wife were more attached to each other; children were experiencing and learning from the things they saw, from which they became confident; Children knew how to love and be closer to their parents, from which they could easily share everything with their parents, and their parents also understood and taught their children better.

Each photo sent to the Organizing Committee of the contest had its own meaning, from many loving perspectives. Happiness was sometimes simply a weekend coffee date with the family like the family of Mr. Vo Hoang Nhan, Union Group’s Student Work member or it was a moment of family together, filled with love with the children of Mr. Huynh Van Quoc Canh's family.

Ms. Nguyen Lam Truc, Union Group’s Administrative member, believed that happiness depended on each of our feelings, when we knew enough, knew how to be satisfied with the present, knew how to cherish our loved ones. "Happy Vietnamese Family Day! Wishing laughter, joy, and happiness always fill every Vietnamese family!" - Ms. Truc said.

The photo contest “Loving Family” ended with many good stories, and positive inspiration for building happy families at Kien Giang University.
