Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Rector of Kien Giang University: volunteering for the community was one of the three missions of Kien Giang University.

According to him, a person with a comprehensive education must not only learn in class and in books, but also learn through experience and grow through experience. He hoped that in this session, students were learning many things, practicing to become more mature, and become positive youth.

Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh handed over the flags to the 2020 Summer Volunteer Campaign Island Committee.

At the same time, it was advised that when arriving at the destination to achieve the goal of communication for the community, students needed to integrate well, always be ready to work. In each job they needed to be devoted, dedicated, and hard-working to develop to the next level. Wherever they went, they maintained their reputation and brought the school's culture deep into the community.

Trinh Le Hoang Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Kien Giang University said that in the summer 2020 volunteer campaign, the school's student volunteer force included 3 teams: Building new rural areas, supporting exam season - immigration consulting admission, repaying gratitude, remembering the source when drinking water, and going to many different areas to carry out tasks

After the ceremony, the youth union members picked up trash on the school campus, whitewashed the trees.
