On November 12^th, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Rector of Kien Giang University said that the University just organized delegations to work with businesses in Phu Quoc district such as: Vinpearl Phu Quoc (VinGroup Corporation); Sunworld Hon Thom (Sun Group Corporation), ... to survey, collect comments, co-orient training and cooperation programs.

The school and businesses shared experience in building and developing sustainable cooperative relationships, discussed cooperation models between Kien Giang University and businesses such as: sending lecturers to attend training courses of businesses to grasp businesses’ job requirements; sending students to practice and intern at businesses before allowing them to join specialized majors so that they could choose the right one for themselves; designing and rebuilding training programs and course outlines to meet the working requirements of the market, including tourism, entertainment, etc.… , moving towards signing memorandums of understanding and agreements in the coming time.

According to Ms. Ho Linh Mai - Head of Human Resources Department of Sun World Hon Thom - Phu Quoc (Sun Group Corporation), the training quality of some universities did not satisfy businesses’ working requirements, so after recruiting, the company must retrain according to its own standards, organize exams, and improve skills to meet the job requirements. “The connection between the University and businesses will bring about efficiency and mutual support to develop well-qualified human resources,” said Ms. Mai.
