On the morning of October 6, 2024, Kien Giang University coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC&CNCH), Kien Giang Provincial Police, to organize a program on propaganda, experience, and practice in fire prevention and fighting, rescue for officials, civil servants, employees, and students at Hall B and Building D area of the school.

Program Overview

The propaganda session was attended by nearly 1,500 people to raise awareness of the importance of fire prevention and fighting and rescue work in the context of modern society, while equipping participants with skills to handle emergency situations, helping to protect the safety of life and property of themselves and the community.

Within the framework of the program, team members from the school's Fire Prevention and Rescue Team carried out practical parts including: Propagating and instructing escape skills when there is a fire or explosion incident; Practice using portable fire extinguishers to extinguish fires; Practice moving victims; Practice spreading fire hoses; Practice spraying water to the target; Practice escaping from high places by ropes and ladder trucks; Practice first aid skills for victims.
