On August 30th, Kien Giang University organized a workshop "Experience and solutions to improve the effectiveness of innovative start-up activities in universities", attracting more than 50 delegates’ participations.

Speaking at the conference, Dr. Nguyen Trung Cang - Vice Rector of Kien Giang University said that the conference aimed to create conditions and forums for components of the ecosystem and network to support students in and outside the province to do start-ups to innovate to have the opportunities to exchange, discuss, share experiences, and propose solutions for the efficiency and role of each component of the network in the operation process to be gradually improved, contributing to fostering innovative start-up initiatives activities of educational institutions locally, regionally and nationwide.

The workshop presented 5 presentations and shared contents such as: Experience in implementing a model to support innovative start-up activities of Kien Giang University; Model for promoting and supporting startups at Tra Vinh University; Mentoring and coaching programs in startups – "Startup and new business consultants" and "Coaching for leaders and professional coaches"; Experience in building good relationships between training institutions and businesses in supporting student startups and innovation; Solutions to improve the effectiveness of innovative start-up support activities at Kien Giang Colleges.

On this occasion, to strengthen operational capacity and enhance cooperation in the field of innovative startups, Kien Giang University signed a cooperation agreement with the Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technology Germinating Garden.  

Accordingly, the two units will increase information exchange, share experiences, and consult on technical issues in various fields; Strengthen coordination in implementing training programs, linkages and cooperation in scientific research activities, technology incubation, support for innovative start-ups, training support and other fields, …
