Recently, on October 9th, 2020, in Phu Quoc Island district, a conference was held to summarize emulation and reward in school year 2019-2020 as well as orientate the tasks of Emulation Cluster No. 6 in school year 2020-2021.

Emulation Cluster No. 6 consisted of 9 units which were higher education institutions, including: Kien Giang University; Da Lat University; Dong Thap University; Nha Trang University, Quy Nhon University, Tay Nguyen University; Viet Duc University; Hanoi University; Tay Bac University.

Overview of the conference summarizing emulation and rewards for the 2019-2020 school year and the direction and tasks of Emulation Cluster No. 6 for school year 2020-2021.

In school year 2019-2020, the Ministry of Education and Training assigned Kien Giang University as Cluster Leader and Da Lat University as Deputy Cluster Leader.

The conference approved the report on the implementation of the Cluster's activities and the emulation and reward assessment for school year 2019-2020. In the last school year, Emulation Cluster No. 6 exchanged expertise, skills, learned experiences, propagated, disseminated, and expanded advanced models among member units; united and supported each other to develop together.

Units in Cluster No. 6 signed an emulation agreement with emulation criteria (scoring) according to 9 tasks including: reviewing, streamlining the apparatus, improving the efficiency of unit operations; improving the quality of lecturers and educational managers; improving the quality of training, enhancing moral education, lifestyle, life skills, physical education for students, ensuring school safety; improving the quality of foreign language teaching, especially English; promoting the application of information technology in training and management; promoting decentralization and implementing autonomy and self-responsibility for training institutions; international integration in education and training; strengthening facilities to ensure the quality of education and training activities; developing human resources, especially high-quality human resources.

To complete the above 9 tasks, Emulation Cluster No. 6 specified 5 additional criteria (scoring) for solutions such as: perfecting institutions, promoting administrative reform in education and training; improving leadership and management capacity of education management departments; owning plans to implement work to ensure education quality, improving quality, completing self-assessment; increasing communication tasks of education and training.

Through the political results of each unit achieved, 100 %-unit members had completed their tasks as planned.

The conference also approved the directions, tasks and solutions for school year 2020-2021, including: Promoting exchange activities, sharing experiences in organizing emulation movements, propagating, disseminating and replicating advanced models among member units in the Emulation Cluster; building and selecting typical, comprehensive advanced models of member units in the Cluster to set an example for learning and replicating in the Emulation Cluster;

Continuing to strengthen the propaganda, popularization, thorough-grasp and implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws on emulation and rewards; Reviewing and perfecting the system of documents on emulation and rewards and organizing emulation movements with practical, specific and breakthrough goals, associated with the implementation of political tasks of each member school, continuously innovating the work of rewards, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and compliance with regulations.

The conference started scoring, evaluating school year 2019-2020, with the results: Kien Giang University was nominated to receive Emulation Flag from Ministry of Education & Training; Hanoi University, Tay Nguyen University, Dong Thap University and Nha Trang University were proposed to receive the Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Education & Training.

In school year 2020-2021, Ministry of Education and Training assigned Dalat University as the Cluster Leader and Hanoi University as the Deputy Cluster Leader.
