Speaking at the conference, Mr. Canh Chi Dung - Deputy Director of the Affair of Organization and Personnel, Ministry of Education and Training emphasized: Appointment is an important content in the management and leadership of the University, step by step consolidating the team, enhancing the initiative, positivity and innovation of organizations and individuals. The appointment and arrangement of public employees into working positions suitable to their capacity and qualifications in order to ensure the stability and development of the team, strengthen solidarity and unanimity, and improve the quality and efficiency of operations of units.

The process of appointing Vice Rectors is carried out in accordance with the principle of democratic centralism, collective decision making, and full promotion of individual responsibilities. The Party Committee of Kien Giang University approved and 100% unanimously approved the Resolution on personnel work, requesting the University Council to consider and appoint Mr. Nguyen Trung Cang, Dean of Faculty of Foreign Languages, holding concurrently Head of Department of Cooperation and Science and Technology to hold the position of Vice Rector as well.

After exchanging, discussing and collecting opinions, the School Council agreed on the Resolution on the appointment of Vice Rector of Kien Giang University to Mr. Nguyen Trung Cang, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, cum Head of the Cooperation and Science & Technology Department, Kien Giang University. The tenure of office is 5 years.

Comrade Nguyen Trung Cang was born in 1977 in Quang Tri, joined the Party in 2016; Graduated Bachelor of Languages majoring in English from Hue University of Pedagogy; graduated with a Master's degree in Languages majoring in English language teaching at La Trobe University, Australia; Graduated with a PhD in Applied Linguistics from the University of Sheffield, UK. Mr. Nguyen Trung Cang has 25 years of working experience in the field of education; working at Kien Giang University and has held positions such as: Vice Dean of Faculty of Foreign Languages and Information Technology, Dean of Faculty of Foreign Languages, Director of Foreign Language Center, cum Head of Department of Cooperation and Science & Technology.
