Exciting Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Week 2022.

Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Week 2022 was organized by Kien Giang University in collaboration with Kien Giang Provincial Library, to encourage and develop the reading movement, gradually building a reading culture in the University and spreading to the community; Raising awareness about the great meaning and importance of reading.

On April 21st, Kien Giang University and Kien Giang Provincial Library coordinated to organize the summary of Vietnam Book and Culture Week 2022, attracting more than 200 officials, lecturers, and students’ attendance.

Vietnam Book and Culture Week 2022 at Kien Giang University took place from April 12th to 21st  with many exciting activities such as: propagandizing and introducing the role of books to honor reading culture via Kien Giang University website; Organizing a contest to introduce good books with the theme "The book I love"; Exhibiting, selecting, displaying books about Uncle Ho, national heroes, culture, history, Literature, Science and technology, life skills... to introduce and display at the Information and Technology Center Library.

Speakers attended the discussion "Reading Tradition and Culture of Reading Paper and Electronic Books".

Meanwhile, a discussion session was organized with the topic: "Reading Tradition and Culture of Reading Paper and Electronic Books" attracting more than 200 officials, lecturers, and Kien Giang University students’ participation in the exchange, discussion revolving around the content of reading culture.

Speaking at the closing session, Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector of Kien Giang University, said that the 2022 Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Week was organized by the University with many rich activities, attracting large participation of the crowd of lecturers and students. Through the week, the school wished to encourage and develop the reading movement, raise awareness of officials, lecturers and students about the meaning and importance of reading to improve knowledge and developing thinking skill, train human personality, contribute to innovating teaching methods, ...

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tu Mi - Deputy Director of Kien Giang Provincial Library presented a plaque of 600 books to Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector of Kien Giang University.

On this occasion, Kien Giang Provincial Library awarded Kien Giang University 600 books; Kien Giang University sent letters of thanks to groups and individuals who donated books to the University's Library.
