On the morning of January 21st, Kien Giang University convened officials and employees of Contract 68 to attend a conference to collect opinions on additional planning for the position of Vice Rector for the 2019 - 2024 term.

At the Conference, Rector Nguyen Tuan Khanh said that currently, the school only has a Rector and 1 Vice Rector, which is insufficient as planned. In addition, in recent times, the amount of management and administration work of the school is quite large, so sometimes there are difficulties in management and administration because the force of Board of Directors is too weak, causing difficulties in closely monitoring all areas of activities of the school, so it is necessary to supplement the planning for the position of Vice Rector. This is the basis to create resources to serve the training and fostering of qualified management officials to consider appointing additional Vice Rectors for the school in the coming time to ensure quality and operational efficiency action of the Board of Directors. Currently, the school's planning has 03 Vice Rector positions. The school has planned to create a resource for this position of 05 people, now needs to supplement the planning with 04 people to meet the prescribed number: 01 position with 03 planned individuals.

The conference agreed to consult with officials of the University who have an MA degree or higher, the rank of main lecturer or main specialist, who are party members with intermediate level of political theory or higher, and are holding positions of chief or deputy in charge of units, including the following officials: MSc. Tran Thi Anh - Deputy Head of Training Department, PhD. Nguyen Trung Cang - Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, MSc. Le Viet Khai - Head of Student Affairs and Community Connection, MSc. Pham Thi Hong Nhu - Head of Personnel Organization Department, PhD. Nguyen Huu Tho - Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Humanities, MSc. Huynh Kim Thuy – Head of the Faculty of Politics and National Defense.
