On January 12th , Kien Giang University solemnly held a ceremony to award the decision to recognize standards and appoint the title of Associate Professor of Education to Associate Professor, PhD. Nguyen Trung Cang - Vice Rector of the School.

The Party Committee and Board of Directors of Kien Giang University awarded the decision to recognize the standards and appoint the title of Associate Professor of Education to Dr. Nguyen Trung Cang.

Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh hopes that in 2024, the school's teaching team will strive to have more teachers appointed to the positions of Professor and Associate Professor, improving the quality of teaching and scientific research of the School, strengthening the team to open master's degree majors and enhancing the University's reputation.

New Associate Professor, PhD. Nguyen Trung Cang is currently Vice Rector of Kien Giang University, achieved a PhD degree in 2015, participated in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses and has guided 18 graduate students to successfully defend their Master's theses, published 23 scientific articles domestically and abroad, including 7 articles in journals under the SCOPUS and WoS categories, edited of 2 university teaching textbooks, 1 reference book serving training at the University Kien Giang and 1 reference book chapter used at Can Tho University, presided over the compilation of the English Language training program at Kien Giang University, Standing Vice Chairman of the Self-Evaluation Council of the English Language training program, Kien Giang University.

Kien Giang University currently has 264 officials, lecturers, and laborers, including 2 Associate Professors, 31 PhDs and 29 PhD students. The school currently manages 8 functional departments, 9 faculties, 1 department and 5 training centers, training 24 undergraduate majors. The current training scale of the school is about more than 5,000 students.
