More than 500 youth union members and youth of Kien Giang University participated in planting bamboo for the sustainable west region

On the morning of June 1st, Kien Giang University cooperated with Kind Bracelets Co., Ltd. to launch the bamboo planting program "For a sustainable West Region". More than 500 union members and young people attended.

More than 500 youth union members and youth of Kien Giang University attended the launch of the bamboo planting program "For the Sustainable West Region".

Speaking at the launch, Dr. Nguyen Huu Tho - Vice Rector of Kien Giang University, said that the bamboo planting program "For the Sustainable West" carries with it the meaning of community, both educating traditional culture and raising awareness of environmental protection in today's youth.

Delegates attended the bamboo planting program on the campus of Kien Giang University.

Bamboo planting activities on campus this time contributes to creating a green learning environment, protecting the environment and biodiversity, at the same time aims at World Environment Day on June 5th.

Right at the launching ceremony, 2,000 bamboo trees were planted on the campus of Kien Giang University and along the Youth Road, with the goal of creating a practice point and applied research, breeding diverse types of bamboo.

"Each of us should plant, care for and protect well at least one tree, contributing to improving our own living environment, but also for the sustainable development of the country" - Dang Thuy Tien, desired students of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Humanities.
