Education & Training - The Youth Union of Kien Giang University launched the 2023 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign with the participation of 300 volunteers.

The delegation of Kien Giang University launched the squads and the Steering Committee for the Summer 2023 Youth Volunteer Campaign.

The summer 2023 youth volunteer campaign with 300 volunteers is expected to launch in 6 main formations: Education propaganda lineup, gratitude lineup, rural construction lineup, competition season relay lineup, Landscape Construction Squad and Youth Start-up Squad.

The Campaign Steering Committee has set key targets such as: Organizing for 700 turns of union members and young people to participate in volunteer activities; Advocating to build or repair at least 1 charity house or house of gratitude; Planting 1,500 trees in the campus, in the green tree care subdivision, and in the flower campus for the Faculty Unions; Repairing at least 2 km of rural roads; Supporting to improve digital capacity for at least 500 students…

Career and employment counseling was implemented for at least 400 turns of union members and young people; job introducing was condcuted for at least 100 students; Visiting and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Thi Ma was carried out; Lighting candles and changing the flowers at the Provincial Martyrs Cemetery was performed.

Addressing the direction, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of Kien Giang University emphasized that the youth of Kien Giang University need to dedicate themselves to volunteering, promoting strength for the community, homeland and the development of the country.

“Each member of the Youth Union, when participating in the Summer Volunteer Campaign, should try to bring the belief to spread the school's core values of "Dedication - Prestige - Quality - Integration" to each work, each location; as well as to practice, and dedicate to become more mature", emphasized Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the faculty union members organized to pick up trash and clean up the campus of Kien Giang University.
