Kien Giang University (abbreviated KGU University) is one of the three public universities belonging to the Ministry of Education and Training in the Mekong Delta. The university is constantly increasing the size and academic structure of an application-oriented multidisciplinary university. Currently, KGU is authorized by the Ministry of Education and Training to enroll and train 20 undergraduate majors. KGU also regularly opens short-term professional training courses for thousands of learners in Kien Giang and other localities in the Mekong Delta. In addition, the activities of cooperation and upgrading training have been continued and expanded to meet the learning needs of local people and neighboring provinces, making an important contribution to increasing job opportunities and improving the quality of life in communities, creating a driving force for socio-economic development for Kien Giang province, the Mekong area and the whole country.
