On September 13th, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Rector of the University said that the University were just permitted by the Ministry of Education and Training to train Tourism (code 7810101) and Control Engineering & Automation (code 7520216) at the undergraduate level according to Decision No. 2816/QD-BGDDT and 2817/QD-BGDDT signed on September 8th.

Thus, Kien Giang University were permitted to enroll and train 18 majors, with 1,380 targets, of which, the University enrolled 50 targets for Tourism and 40 targets for Control Engineering & Automation.

Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh and the Heads of the Faculties checked the equipment in preparation for training in Control & Automation Engineering.

At present, the University had more than 950 candidates confirmed for enrollment, of which the majors such as Business Administration, Accounting, Information Technology, Law, Banking and Finance and English Language were the 6 majors with the highest number of students enrolled. According to the plan, the first batch of students officially enrolled on September 13^th, the second batch on September 27^th and the third batch on October 18^th.
