"For state agencies, when the job positions are surely vacant, new people could be recruited. Does the school support jobs for students? I want to study dual majors so that after graduation I can have the higher working opportunities… So what major can I study in parallel with the registered one?", Be Dan asked.

While many students are also worried that recruiting civil servants, officials is difficult now because of the regulations on staff reduction, job opportunities are also difficult for many industries. This makes many of students confused when making the decision to choose a major.

According to Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Rector of Kien Giang University, over the past time, the school has always connected with businesses and agencies to introduce jobs for graduates. Working positions in state agencies for environmental engineering and environmental resource management depend on the province's annual recruitment plan for civil servants and public employees.

"So, if you have the right job position, you will be able to register for recruitment. However, for this major, it is unnecessary to work in state agencies inside and outside the province, but can work in enterprises.

For environmental resource management and environmental engineering majors, graduates can work in enterprises. Currently, businesses have a great need to recruit this majored students," said Mr. Khanh.

Regarding the dual-major training, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh said that Kien Giang University is currently training under the credit system. After one year, students can apply for a dual major.
