The Mathematical Olympiad Team of Kien Giang University achieved high results at the 29th Student and Student Math Olympiad, 2023

On the morning of April 11, Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Vice President of Kien Giang University said that at the 2023 Math Olympiad for students and high school students in Thua Thien Hue province, Kien Giang University students won prizes.

In 2023, the 29th National Mathematical Olympiad for students and high school students took place from April 2^nd    to April 8^th  at the University of Education (Hue University), with the participation of 615 candidates with 713 entries, coming from 85 universities and institutes across the country.

This year, the Mathematical Olympiad team, Faculty of Pedagogy and Humanities, Kien Giang University participated in the exam with 6 students, competing in both Algebra and Calculus.

Instructors and students of Kien Giang University participated in Math Olympiad for students and high school students in 2023.

With the serious preparation, high determination of teachers and students of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Humanities, and the attention of the University's leaders, the Mathematical Olympiad team of Kien Giang University students won 2 prizes, in which, student Tran Duc Luong won consolation prize in Algebra, and Le Quoc Khai won consolation prize in Calculus.

In addition, lecturers and students of Kien Giang University also participated and won the second prize of the volleyball exchange between the teams of the 29th Mathematical Olympiad between students and high school students, 2023.

The National Mathematical Olympiad for students and high school students is an annual activity aiming at improving the quality of mathematics teaching and learning, and promoting the movement of students and high school students to learn Mathematics. Since then, the competition contributes to discovering and fostering good math students of universities, institutes, colleges and good math students of gifted high schools across the country. The exam is co-organized by the Vietnam Mathematical Association, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Central Vietnam Student Association in collaboration with a university, academy, and college in the country.

Previously, in 2022, Kien Giang University participated in the Math Olympiad for students, nationwide students won 1 third prize in Calculus and 1 Consolation prize in Algebra.
