The training course aimed to improve professional capacity on innovative startups, create an entrepreneurial ecosystem at the unit for lecturers and teachers, contributing to creating resources for the force to guide, promote and spread the spirit of innovative startups to students and pupils in Kien Giang province.

On September 24^th, Kien Giang University held the opening ceremony of Innovative Startup Training Course for Kien Giang province's source lecturers in 2021 for 85 lecturers and teachers of colleges, universities and high schools in Kien Giang province.

85 students attended the 2021 Innovative Entrepreneurship Training Course for provincial Kien Giang resource lecturers.

The training course was part of the series of activities "Supporting innovative startups in Kien Giang province in 2021" of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee. Lecturers participating in the training course were exempted from 100% of tuition fees and are granted a certificate after completing the contents of the training course.

The training course took place over 5 days (10 sessions) from September 24^th to 29^th online under the guidance and training of experts such as: Mr. Truong Thanh Hung - Director of FiNNO Group, Vice Chairman of the National Advisory Council for Innovative Startups; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Dung - Co-founder of FiNNO Group, member of the National Advisory Council for Innovative Startups; Ms. Huynh Hong Mai - Deputy Director of the Center for Innovation and Startup Incubation - Nguyen Tat Thanh University, member of the National Advisory Council for Innovative Startups in the South.

The training course for resource lecturers focuses on the following contents: Introduction to innovative thinking, innovative startups and innovative startup education; Lean startup principles; Setting SMART goals and innovation toolkit; Step-by-step roadmap for innovative startups; Market segmentation and customer portrait (CPD); Customer discovery interview techniques; Field verification of customer portraits; Estimating market size; Designing superior value and value proposition (VPC); Building and presenting business models (BMC); Skills in preparing a capital calling presentation (Pitch deck); designing thinking (Design thinking), etc.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Kien Giang University Vice Rector, said that the goal of the training course was to improve professional capacity in innovative startups, create a startup ecosystem at the unit, contributing to promoting and spreading the spirit of innovative startups widely among Kien Giang provincial students and pupils.

At the same time, through this course, the University hoped to maintain connections among members as a premise to establish a club connecting the startup ecosystem among Kien Giang University and all provincial colleges and high schools in the coming time.
