On May 17th, Kien Giang University coordinated with the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Kien Giang province to launch the 10th Science and Technology Creativity Contest and the Youth and Children Creativity Contest in Kien Giang province for the 6th time (2024 - 2025), attracting over 100-attendant delegates and students.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Associate Professor. Dr. Nguyen Trung Cang - Vice Rector of Kien Giang University said that while science and technology are increasingly developing, artificial intelligence is almost replacing humans in many jobs. Therefore, to develop, especially self-development, innovation and changing one's habits is extremely important. The Scientific and Technical Creativity Contest and the Youth and Children Creativity Contest of Kien Giang province was organized with the aim of promoting the applied research movement, opening up a playground to practice thinking and development skills, develop creative ideas and highly groundbreaking products.

Scientific and Technical Innovation Contest: Contestants are all individuals living and working in Kien Giang province; All new innovative technical solutions serving production, life, economy, society, security and defense are eligible to be registered in the Contest. Contest solutions registered are in 6 fields: information technology, electronics, telecommunications; Mechanical automation, construction, transportation; Materials, chemicals, energy; Agriculture, forestry, fishery, natural resources and environment; Pharmacy; Education, Training and other fields.

Creative Contest for Youth and Children of Kien Giang Province: Contestants are youth, teenagers, and children from 6 to 18 years old; The models and products allowed in the contest are smart and useful models, multi-purpose tools, mechanical equipment, automation equipment, and information technology products.

Contest models and products registered are in 5 areas: learning supplies; software; friendly products with the environment; Household utensils and children's toys; Solutions to respond to climate change and protect the environment.
