Khmer students study about gender, climate resilience and adaptation
On June 15th, Kien Giang University cooperated with Can Tho University and CGIAR organization to hold an international conference "Gender, climate resilience and adaptation". The conference was especially held for Khmer students, Cambodian students studying at Kien Giang University.

The conference was attended by Dr. Nozomi Kawarazuka - Social science expert, CGIAR International Potato Center (USA) office in Hanoi; Dr. Ly Quoc Dang - Research Fellow at the Mekong Delta Development Research Institute, Can Tho University; Dr. Duong Van Nha – Dean of Faculty of Agriculture and Rural Development, Kien Giang University; along with more than 40 Khmer and Cambodian students attending Kien Giang University.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Trung Cang - Vice President of Kien Giang University emphasized that the conference had many community meanings, contributing to raising awareness about climate change risks and impacts of climate change on agricultural and fishery activities in the Mekong Delta. At the same time, exchange ideas on climate change adaptation and innovation in agriculture and fisheries.
