INNOVATIVE STARTUP WITH HYTERTECH SMART HYDROPONIC VEGETABLE CULTIVATION MODEL
On October 18th, 2024, the final round of the "KGU Startup 5th Innovative Startup Ideas Competition 2024" took place at Kien Giang University. After many rounds of competition and challenges, the project "HYTERTECH SMART HYDROPONIC VEGETABLE CULTIVATION MODEL" excelled to win the first prize in the competition.
The competition aims to stimulate the spirit of entrepreneurship and creativity among students. It allows students to apply the academic knowledge gained in class to address the social and economic problems. Furthermore, this provides an opportunity to discover and develop excellent, highly feasible startup ideas, thereby contributing to promoting sustainable development in the locality and across the entire country.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trung Cang, Vice Rector of Kien Giang University awarded the first prize to the HYTERTECH Smart Hydroponic Vegetable Growing Model Project
With the aim of using advanced technology and sustainable agricultural solutions, HYTERTECH Smart Hydroponic Vegetable Growing Model Project uses AI technology to automatically adjust important factors such as water, light and nutrition, helping plants grow optimally. This system is designed to be flexible, easy to install and can be applied in small spaces, meeting the needs of households who want to grow clean vegetables at home.
Students present their projects to the judges.
Project advisor, Master Vo Hoang Nhan, shared: “The HYTERTECH Smart Hydroponic Vegetable Cultivation Model Project has brought a new direction to urban agriculture, enabling people access organic vegetables right at home without requiring much space. This is a highly feasible idea and aligns perfectly with the trend of developing smart agriculture.”
Quach Van Sang, project team leader, expressed his feelings: “We are very proud that our project is highly appreciated. This is not only a joy but also a motivation for us to continue improving and developing the product. The team's goal is to make the HYTERTECH hydroponic system widely accessible, contributing to the supply of fresh, free-chemical vegetables and protecting the environment.”
Danh Thanh Hau, a team member, shared: “The competition helps us apply technology in practice, work effectively in teams, turn ideas into reality, practice presentation skills, gain more confidence when meeting investors, and learn a lot from advisors.”
In the final round of the competition, the Organizing Committee also awarded the Second Prize to the project "Gas Leak Warning Device" and the Third Prize to two projects: "Durian Flower Tea" and "Salted and Chili Dried Mango".
