Ngày 28/11, Trường Đại học Kiên Giang đã tổ chức chung kết cuộc thi “Người dẫn chương trình tiềm năng KGU 2023” với sự cổ vũ nhiệt tình của gần 500 sinh viên. Cuộc thi nằm trong chuỗi hoạt động chào mừng 41 năm ngày Nhà giáo Việt Nam (20/11/1982 – 20/11/2023).

Attended Mr. Hang Van Do - Head of the Propaganda Department of Chau Thanh District Party Committee; Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the School Council; Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector in charge; Dr. Nguyen Trung Cang - Vice Rector; MSc. Trinh Le Hoang Tuan - Secretary of the school Youth Union; MSc. Nguyen Trung Kien - President of the Student Association; Representatives of leaders of units and teachers of faculties.

On giving opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Trung Cang - Vice Rector of Kien Giang University said the contest aimed to create a favorable environment for students to participate in media, cultural and artistic activities, thereby helping students form and develop soft skills, and hep them more confident, and more creative in their own activities, especially MC skills.

Through the competition, the school discovered, selected and cultivated students with the ability to lead programs actively skillfully participating in organizing events and programs.

11 contestants participating in the "KGU 2023 Potential Host" contest received certificates from the organizers.

The contest was launched and took place from November 10^th. The Organizing Committee received 11 video entries from students with the theme "Teachers in my heart" posted on the Fan page of Kien Giang University.

Nguyen Thanh Dat - Class B023LU1, majoring in Law, took the talk show hosting exam.

In the final round, 11 contestants participated in 2 parts: part 1 as reading the news, part 2 as hosting a talk show on a topic of their choices. In their competitions, many contestants were creative conveying many interesting and meaningful topics and messages such as: Entrepreneurship and innovation; Happy; Patience; What Gen Z understands about depression; Pregnancy before marriage, How to handle it? Talk show of the stars; LGBT – Living true with yourselves…

Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Vice Rector of Kien Giang University awarded the first prize certificate to Nguyen Thanh Dat - Class B023LU1 in Law.

Through two exciting competitions with many topics, contestants gave useful and creative messages to young people. The Board of Judges highly appreciated the investment, careful preparation as well as the program leading skills of the contestants.

As a result, Nguyen Thanh Dat - Class B023LU1, majoring in Law, won first prize; Kieu Ngoc Hanh - class B021QM majoring in Natural Resources and Environmental Management won second prize; Danh Tuan Minh - Class B021TV1 majoring in Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Culture won third prize; Vo Tuan Kiet - class B021TV1 majoring in Vietnamese Language and Culture won the most popular video award.
