Kien Giang organizes the Young Informatics Contest in Kien Giang province in 2023

On April 21st, at Kien Giang University, Kien Giang Provincial Youth Union, Kien Giang Department of Education and Training and Department of Information and Communication jointly organized the Opening Ceremony of the Young Informatics Contest of Kien Giang province in 2023.

The contest attracted 264 contestants in 2 forms, including 186 candidates from the High School (primary, middle and high school students) and 78 for the Civil Service division, officials and young labourers in Kien Giang province.

The Young Informatics Contest of Kien Giang province in 2023 includes the following contents: programming skills test for elementary, middle and high school students; computer-based multiple-choice test and computer-based practice exam using Microsoft Office 2013 software; product creation competition such as software, hardware, integrated products.

In addition to the content of the contest, the Organizing Committee coordinated to organize a science and technology playground with the theme "Initiation of creativity - connecting information technology".

Speaking at the contest, Comrade Thi Phuong Hong - Deputy Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Youth Union emphasized: The 4.0 technology revolution has a strong impact on the technology platform in all fields of politics, economy, culture, etc. society… in the world in general and Vietnam in particular. This is both a challenge and an opportunity for development and deep integration with the world. Therefore, improving the level of information technology is concerned by leaders at all levels, creating an environment for emulation, training, exchange and learning, especially for students, officials, civil servants, public employees and young labourers in the whole province.
