Workshop on building an innovative startup ecosystem

“Building an innovative startup ecosystem” was the theme of the workshop that recently took place at Kien Giang University.

Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Vice Rector, spoke at the workshop.

On the afternoon of September 28^th, Kien Giang University organized a workshop on “Building an innovative startup ecosystem for Kien Giang University”. Attending the workshop there were Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Vice Rector of Kien Giang University; Dr. Nguyen Xuan Niem - Deputy Director of Kien Giang Department of Science and Technology; Dr. Phan Huynh Anh - Director of the Vietnam 100-Job Practice Institute (Smentor Institute); Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Permanent Vice President of the Southern Startup Support Advisory Council, VCCI; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Khai Thanh - Deputy Director of the Institute of Economic Management and Education; MSc. Huynh Hong Mai: Deputy Director of the Center for Innovation and Startup Incubation, Nguyen Tat Thanh University; MSc. Nguyen Quoc Nam - Founder of Rung Nam Farm U Minh Thuong.

The workshop presented, shared and exchanged opinions on the following papers: sharing practical solutions to support the innovative startup programs; Initial results of supporting innovative startups and proposing solutions to build an innovative startup ecosystem for Kien Giang University; University 4.0 and promoting innovative startups at Kien Giang University; Innovative startups with local resources, ...

Dr. Nguyen Xuan Niem - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Kien Giang province presented a paper.

In addition, the workshop also held a signing ceremony of cooperation between Kien Giang University and the Southern Startup Support Advisory Council, Business Forum Newspaper on organizing startup activities in 2020 with topics such as: Business startups for Kien Giang University students; Skills to adapt to the working environment; Guiding students to write business startup projects, establish businesses, etc.

Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Vice Rector of the University of Economics and Business and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Permanent Vice President of the Southern Startup Support Advisory Council, VCCI signed a memorandum of cooperation on organizing startup activities in 2020.

On this occasion, the school awarded certificates of completion of the Integrity and Innovation Startup Training Course for 25 students in 2020.

Dr. Duong Van Nha - Head of the Department of Cooperation and Science and Technology awarded certificates to students who completed the training course on Integrity Startup and Innovation.
