On the evening of October 14th, 2024, at Hall B of Kien Giang University, Politics and Law Faculty organized the program "Welcoming New Students of Course 10" with the participation of school leaders, delegates, lecturers and over 500 Law students. This was an important event to welcome new Law students to officially join the faculty’s student community, while creating opportunities for exchange and connection between generations of students.

Program Overview

Speaking at the program, Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Vice Rector in charge of Kien Giang University congratulated the new students and shared his valuable experiences in studying, researching and developing himself during his university attendance; emphasizing the importance of planning a study orientation plan right from the first year associated with a specific job position in the field of study, in order to be best prepared for learning activities to accumulate knowledge, skills and specific requirements of that job position, thereby helping students make effective use of their study time and grasp their career development opportunities during university attendance and after their graduation.

Cultural program

The program took place excitingly with special performances from students and lecturers such as: Hello Vietnam, Co gai mo duong, Mashup Dance and many other performances; prize award for sports exchange activities such as men's and women's volleyball, the faculty’s uniform design competition, also taking place before, attracting students’ enthusiastic participation from all over the Faculty.

MA. Do Thi Kim Phuong, Deputy Dean in charge of the Faculty of Politics and Law, honored the two new valedictorians.

On this occasion, Politics and Law Faculty honored the 2 of Course 10’s valedictorians. In addition, the faculty also awarded certificates of merit to 72 full-time students with Excellent and Honor titles, along with 37 part-time students with high achievements in school year 2023-2024. This was an encouragement for the students’ continuous spirit of learning and efforts of Politics and Law Faculty.

The program to welcome new students of Course 10 did not only create a strong impression on new students but also contributed to affirming the spirit of solidarity and development of Politics and Law Faculty. The freshmen will have memorable experiences and start a meaningful learning journey at Kien Giang University.
