On June 25th, the School Council of Kien Giang University held its 10th meeting, term 2019 - 2024. The meeting took place online with the chairmanship and administration of Dr. Dang Thanh Son - Chairman of the School Council, through the bridge points in Kien Giang, Ho Chi Minh City and Ca Mau.

The meeting approved the reports: the school's operating situation in the first 6 months and the direction of the school's activities in the last 6 months; Report on the activities of the first 6 months of the year and the activities of the last 6 months of the School Council; Proposals from the Board of Authorities on: tuition fees for the 2021 - 2022 school year, request for policy on opening the primary education sector code, approval of the Project to use public assets for rental purposes, approval of the financial plan main adjustment for the last 6 months of 2021; Resolution of the School Council at the 10th session, term 2019-2024.

School Council members attended the meeting online.

According to the School Board's assessment (based on statistics from the Department of Education and Training of Kien Giang) the need for university-level training in Primary Education in the period from 2024 to 2027 is high (about 50 teachers/year during the training period and they should receive benefits according to regulations) on the basis of meeting the need to improve qualification to always be able to meet the job positions of primary school teachers in the Mekong Delta region and the capacity of facilities and equipment and the school's teaching staff and teaching staff capable of providing training in the Primary Education sector according to relevant laws on opening the training industry code.

Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Rector of Kien Giang University distributed his speech and explained further at the meeting.

In addition, the determination of tuition fees for the 2021 - 2022 school year for full-time, transfer, work-study, and the second degrees programs remained basically the same as the previous school year.

The school planned to cooperate in leasing a number of unused land locations to carry out projects such as parking garages, student cafeterias, and building a high-tech agricultural development, model innovation complex to create conditions for students to research, practice and implement startup projects, ...

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Dang Thanh Son - Chairman of the School Council conducted a vote to collect opinions for members of the School Council and came to a consensus through the reports of the School, the School Council as well as the Proposals of the Board of Authorities but needed editing and supplementing according to the appraisal opinions of the Professional Committees and the opinions of members of the School Council.
