Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Council of Kien Giang University sent his thanks to the working group of the Provincial Party Committee, receiving instructions on the upcoming direction and he provided more information that Kien Giang University had just entered the top 100, ranked 68th in the Vietnam University Rankings 2024 (VNUR-2024, Viet Nam's University Rankings). Accordingly, Kien Giang University ranked 4^th out of 8 universities in the Mekong Delta region.

Through the ranking table, the school can better recognize the achievements gained and limitations in order to have directions operated in the near future. According to Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh, in 2024 the school will focus on promoting enrollment in the direction of expanding the recruitment area; increasing investment in facilities and laboratories; applying information technology in management and strategic administration towards building smart universities associated with autonomy in the new period; continue to plan policies for lecturers to promote scientific research tasks and connect with localities’ research and scientific and technological transfer; improving the qualifications of the teaching staff; continue to maintain improvements in quality assurance in order for focusing on achieving AUN-QA quality accreditation standards.

Previously, the working group of Kien Giang University led by Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh, as head of the delegation, visited and wished Happy New Year to the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Propaganda Committee, Organizing Committee, Inspection Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and departments, divisions and branches in Kien Giang province.
