On the occasion of the traditional Chol-Chnam-Thmay 2022, the Kien Giang University Youth Union organized exciting cultural, arts, culinary, and folk games exchange activities right at the school, helping ethnic Khmer students and Cambodian students attending the University have a warm New Year.

With the characteristics of being a university with a large number of Khmer students and nearly 80 students of Cambodian and Lao nationality studying, on the occasion of the 2022 Chol-Chnam-Thmay traditional New Year, the Party Committee, Board of Authorities, and Youth Union Kien Giang University came to visit, sent New Year wishes and organized a welcome festival, helping them celebrate New Year in a joyful and warm atmosphere.

MSc. Trinh Le Hoang Tuan - Secretary of the Youth Union of Kien Giang University - said: "We hope that the Chol-Chnam-Thmay Festival under the common roof of Kien Giang University will take place warmly and happily. Recently, the school has had many policies, always cared, supported and created secure conditions for their study. Many ethnic and international students have been aware of the importance of studying and trying to overcome hardship, from which many students have excelled in their studies and achieved many commendable achievements."

At the festival, the Youth Union of Kien Giang University gave gifts and organized a party for students to celebrate the traditional Chol-Chnam-Thmay festival with the desire to help Cambodian union members, youth and students exchange culture, share love, bond, and create a positive learning spirit.

Cambodian students and lecturers participated in folk games at the festival.

The festival attracted hundreds of students and lecturers to attend and interact. The students were able to wear traditional clothes, exchange musical performances from the two countries Vietnam - Cambodia, perform according to traditional Khmer traditional dance, participate in folk games, and enjoy some Traditional New Year Chol-Chnam-Thmay dish.
