Kien Giang University celebrates the traditional New Year with international students and Khmer ethnic students.

On April 12th, Kien Giang University held a meeting to celebrate the traditional New Year Chol Chnam Thmay of the Khmer, Bunpimay of the Lao and Songkran of Thailand in 2024.

Dr. Nguyen Huu Tho - Vice Rector of Kien Giang University gave a congratulatory speech.

On the occasion of the traditional New Year celebration of Chol Cham Thmay, Bunpimay, Songkran, on behalf of the school’s leaders, Dr. Nguyen Huu Tho - Vice Rector of Kien Giang University sent best wishes of a happy new year, satisfying life, success at work and in life to the teachers, students of Khmer ethnicity and international students attending Kien Giang University.

On this occasion, Kien Giang University sent over 200 congratulatory gifts to Khmer officials, laborers and students; Cambodian, Lao, and Indonesian and 2 Thai lecturers working and attending the school.

Dr. Nguyen Huu Tho - Vice Rector of Kien Giang University presented traditional New Year gifts to 2 Thai lecturers.

During 10 years of construction and development, Kien Giang University has always strived to implement its mission of training high-quality human resources for Mekong Delta and Kien Giang province. In the strategy of developing the school, human resources of international students have been trained. At present, Kien Giang University is training over 350 Khmer ethnic students and 76 international students from Laos, Cambodia, and Indonesia, including over 20 international students having graduated. In order to create a safe studying condition for international students, Kien Giang University has provided dormitories, monthly living allowances and free tuition.
