From September 17^th, 2024 to September 28^th, 2024, Kien Giang University organized a training course to improve the capacity of startup consultants for lecturers, specialists and startup support staff of the school and units in the startup ecosystem.

The training included 36 students, including 11 from Kien Giang University and 25 from units outside the school. The course provided in-depth knowledge and necessary skills to participate in consulting and training innovative startup projects.

Overview of the training course

The training course was divided into 4 sessions with in-depth content such as: Learning about innovative startups and the innovative ecosystem, along with steps to implement a startup project; The role and work of a mentor in innovative startup projects, practicing meetings between mentors and mentees; Business and financial planning for startups, including the Canvas business model, customer segmentation and financial planning; Pitching skills - calling for investment capital for startup projects, including practicing calling for capital and accessing startup support funds.

The training course aimed to provide students with in-depth knowledge and skills to participate in the process of training, consulting and advising startups, in order to create positive social impacts and support vulnerable groups in the community. Through the course, not only were students equipped with the necessary skills to promote sustainable startup development, but they also contributed to building an innovative startup ecosystem at Kien Giang University and nationwide, contributing to the development of the socio-economy.
