Sáng ngày 26/01/2019, Trường Đại học Kiên Giang đã long trọng tổ chức Hội nghị công chức, viên chức và người lao động năm học 2018 – 2019, nhằm tổng kết, đánh giá kết quả thực hiện Nghị quyết Hội nghị công chức, viên chức và người lao động năm học 2017-2018 và đề ra Nghị quyết Hội nghị công chức, viên chức và người lao động năm học 2018-2019. Tham dự hội nghị gồm có các đồng chí trong Ban giám hiệu Nhà trường, các đồng chí là lãnh đạo các đơn vị cùng toàn thể cán bộ công chức, viên chức và người lao động đang làm việc tại trường Đại học Kiên Giang. Hội nghị cũng đã thống nhất bầu ra chủ trì hội nghị gồm: PGS.TS Thái Thành Lượm – Bí thư Đảng ủy, Hiệu trưởng Nhà trường; TS. Nguyễn Tuấn Khanh- Phó bí thư Đảng ủy, Phó hiệu trưởng và Th.S Huỳnh Kim Thủy – Đảng ủy viên, Chủ tịch Công đoàn trường.

All conference delegates in turn heard reports on the results of implementing the Resolution, on the activities of the People's Inspection Board, on the emulation movement, and on financial work in 2018. In addition, the conference also reported on the summary of comments on the revised content of "Regulations on working regimes of lecturers at Kien Giang University". This was one of the reports that many delegates commented on to gradually supplement and complete the regulations on lecturers' working regime.

The conference of civil servants, officials and laborers was an opportunity for all officials to hear about the school's operating situation in the year that has just ended and the mission direction for the next year, from which they could contribute opinions to the overall development of the school.

At the discussion, many delegates expressed their thoughts, aspirations, as well as questions and were satisfactorily answered by relevant units. The School Rector also directly responded and explained the issues raised by the conference. In his speech, Comrade Thai Thanh Luom emphasized the key issues raised at the conference such as: faculties focusing and well implementing teaching plans for the next semester of the school year, encouraging increased the amount of English input in teaching contents, the departments necessarily having close coordination with faculties to promptly advise and handle work effectively, encouraging promotion of scientific research... Besides, the Rector also emphasized the issue of serving students, especially international students studying at the school.

At this conference of civil servants, officials and laborers, the signing of an emulation contract between the School and the Trade Union also took place in the presence of leaders of units under the school. This was one of the contractual activities, creating motivation for the school's emulation movement to grow stronger.

On this occasion, the school's Trade Union also rewarded individuals who are outstanding trade union members. 

In an excited atmosphere to welcome the year of the Pig 2019, the conference ended successfully. The Resolution targets were also passed with the agreement of 100% of representatives.
