Cultural exchange, cuisine, folk games between Kien Giang University Delegation and Andalas University – Indonesia

On January 17th , 2019, at Kien Giang University, an exchange event of culture, cuisine, and folk games took place between Kien Giang University Delegation and Andalas University - Indonesia. This was an opportunity to enhance cultural, artistic, and culinary exchanges between the two schools.

The event took place with the participation of Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Indonesian student delegations along with exchange activities such as: Organizing folk games such as: war tugging, Mentioning and saying names, solidarity, etc. The meaning of the games that students participated in was to strengthen solidarity, friendship, and exchange national cultural identity, but it was also friendly, dynamic, funny, and received enthusiastic participation of students.

Besides, there were also cultural exchange activities with traditional dishes with typical flavors of the West of Vietnam.

Culinary cultural exchange

Cultural and artistic exchange activities took place with unique performances about national culture among student groups from Kien Giang University, Cambodia and Indonesia. In addition to performances imbued with the national cultural identities of Cambodia and Indonesia, young adult also performed vibrant, youthful and modern folk dances.

Special musical performances

Also on this occasion, Dr. Duong Van Nha - Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Rural Development, Kien Giang University awarded certificates of completion of the cultural and academic exchange internship in January 2019 at Kien Giang University to 12 student members from Andalas University - Indonesia.

Speaking gratefully at the event, Prof.Dr. Professor Ardi - Representative of Andalas University - Indonesia sent his deep gratitude to the Board of Authoriies of Kien Giang University for creating favorable conditions for Andalas University students to come here to exchange culture and receive formal instruction at the school.
