Joining the atmosphere to welcome the traditional New Year Chol Chnam Thmay in 2023 of the Khmer people, on April 13th , Kien Giang University held a meeting to celebrate Chol Chnam Thmay New Year for officials and employees who are Khmer ethnic people working at the University.

Kien Giang University currently has 21 Khmer officials, lecturers and employees working in faculties, departments and centers.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of Kien Giang University acknowledged the contribution of Khmer ethnic officials and employees in the successful development of the University in all fields: academic , scientific research, administration, environment, etc.

The representative of Khmer ethnic officials and employees working at the University, Dr. Danh Mo - Dean of Natural Resources and Environment Faculty reviewed the origin and meaning of the traditional New Year Chol Chnam Thmay and the Khmer culture with many features. Dr. Danh Mo thanked the Party Committee, the School Authorities for recognizing the achievements and contributions of the Khmer ethnic staff and employees as well as paying attention and sending greetings to the Chol Chnam Thmay New Year with new hopes.
