From October 20th, 2023 to October 22nd, 2023, Kien Giang University coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education and Dong Thap University to successfully organize a Cultural Exchange Camp for students in 2023.

Attending the Cultural Exchange Camp, there were lecturers and more than 80 foreign language students from 03 universities including Kien Giang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education and Dong Thap University.

This year's Cultural Exchange Program takes place for 3 days, from October 20^th to October 22^nd  with primary activities such as learning culture, cuisine and outstanding landmarks of Kien Giang province. The teams experienced many interesting activities by carrying out real-life projects such as discovering street food, discovering historical relics and famous places in Rach Gia - Kien Giang city, especially visiting Kien Giang University, setting up campfires, etc…. In each group of students implementing projects, there were students from all 3 schools so they could exchange and learn from each other.

Through the learning method of these projects, students had the opportunity not only to learn about regional culture to foster love for their homeland, but also to communicate in English confidently and effectively. Instead of focusing on theory, they were brought into a real-life context where they had to use the target language to solve problems or carry out projects, thereby improving their ability to communicate in English and their problem-solving ability.

In addition, the project method helped learners develop soft skills such as teamwork, project organization, problem solving, etc. This helped them realize the true value of learning a foreign language. This was also one of the important factors contributing to improving and enhancing the quality of English teaching and learning at universities.

At the Cultural Exchange Camp, foreign language students of the three schools were required to use English to create videos for projects aiming at promoting the cultural beauty, cuisine, and people of the locality to international friends.

At the end of the program, the Camp Organizing Committee awarded 01 first prize, 01 second prize, 02 third prizes and 06 consolation prizes to the best projects. In general, the winning projects have been carefully invested in image, and the technical elements of the projects are guaranteed. The projects are highly effective in promoting cultural values.
