On September 30th, 2024, the Labor Union of Kien Giang university held a conference “Summary of Union activities in the 2023-2024 academic year and implementation of the 2024-2025 academic year” at the Administration Building - Kien Giang University. The conference was attended by the Party Committee Secretary, the representative of the Rectorate Board, all labor union officials, and labor union members awarded from units under and directly under the school.

At the conference, the Labor Union evaluated the outstanding activities in the 2023-2024 academic year, emphasized the achievements and remaining difficulties. In addition, the conference focused on implementing the action plan for the 2024-2025 academic year. The union proposed key directions, tasks, and new competitions, with the goal of continuing to improve the life quality of union members, encouraging active participation in collective activities, and promoting the spirit of solidarity.

The representative of the Party Committee and the Rectorate Board highly appreciated the Labor Union’s activities recently and expressed strong support those activities. Meanwhile they oriented the Labor Union executive committee to continue to promote their roles, building a creative model of activities to promote the role of each trade union member in performing the common tasks of the school, well implementing the academic year theme "creating a happy learning environment".

The conference was also an opportunity to honor collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in labor union work in the past academic year. Representatives of the Party Committee and the Labor Union executive committee awarded Degrees of Merit of the Vietnam Education Labor Union to 01 collective and 02 individuals with active contributions to labor union activities. In addition, the Labor Union of Kien Giang University ​​awarded Certificates of Merit to 03 labor union groups and 54 individuals excellently having completed their tasks in labor union work in the 2023-2024 academic year. This was a worthy recognition for the tireless efforts, contributing to building a better learning and working environment.
