In the period of 2016 - 2020, voluntary community service activities from mass organizations and units in the University always received the attention and direction of the Party Committee as well as the Board of Directors.

Activities such as "Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign", "Youth Month", "Volunteer Saturday", "Green Sunday", "Exam season assistance", "Assisting unfortunate children to school" organized extensively, attracting thousands of students to participate; Building "House of Affection", participating in activities "Building new countryside" with more than thousands of working days; Participating in maintaining traffic order and safety,...

 

Every year, the school cooperates with the Steering Committee for voluntary blood donation in Kien Giang province to organize humanitarian blood donations through major programs such as: Red Sundays, Red drops of love, etc. attracting thousands of officials, employees and students to participate.

 

Bên cạnh đó, Nhà trường đã kêu gọi các tổ chức, đơn vị, doanh nghiệp và cá nhân ủng hộ tiền và nhu yếu phẩm thiết yếu cho sinh viên và viên chức, người lao động tại KTX vượt qua giai đoạn dịch bệnh Covid-19 thông qua hình thức tổ chức “Gian hàng 0 đồng”, mua và giao các nhu yếu phẩm cần thiết đến các khu cách ly y tế.

Công tác phòng, chống dịch Covid-19: Nhà trường đã thành lập BCĐ công tác phòng chống dịch Covid-19 và thành lập các Tiểu Ban chuyên môn trong công tác phòng, chống dịch Covid-19. Thành lập Tổ quét mã QR-Code do Đoàn thanh niên chủ trì, nhằm hỗ trợ kiểm tra thân nhiệt và khai báo y tế cho viên chức, người lao động và sinh viên ra vào Trường, đảm bảo công tác phòng, chống dịch Covid-19 theo hướng dẫn của BCĐ và các cơ quan chức năng. Đoàn trường kêu gọi và vận động đoàn viên, thanh niên tham gia công tác phòng, chống dịch Covid-19 trên địa bàn trong tỉnh với các phần việc cụ thể như: lái xe cứu thương chở bệnh nhân mắc Covid-19, trực các chốt kiểm soát, nhập liệu truy vết,…

Phát huy đạo lý “Uống nước nhớ nguồn”, “Đền ơn đáp nghĩa”, những năm qua Nhà trường đã có những hoạt động thiết thực như: tham gia vệ sinh và thay hoa tại Nghĩa trang liệt sỹ Tỉnh Kiên Giang, Nhà tưởng niệm Anh hùng liệt sỹ huyện Châu Thành, Trường nhận phụng dưỡng suốt đời Mẹ VNAH Thị Ma; tặng quà cho người có công, người già neo đơn.

Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control: The university has established a committee for the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic and established specialized sub-committees in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, establishing a QR-Code scanning team chaired by the Youth Union, to support temperature checks and medical declarations for officials, employees and students entering and leaving the University, ensuring the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic based on the guidance of the committee and functional agencies. The Youth Union calls and mobilizes union members and young people to participate in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic in the province with specific tasks such as: driving ambulances carrying Covid-19 patients, on duty at emergency rooms, checkpoints, data entry to trace, etc.

Upholding the principle of "Drink water, remember the source", "Repay gratitude", over the years, the university has had practical activities such as: participating in cleaning and changing flowers at the Martyrs' Cemetery in Kien Giang Province, the Memorial Hall for Heroic Martyrs of Chau Thanh District, the university commits lifelong support for the Vietnamese heroic Mother Thi Ma; giving gifts to people with meritorious services, lonely elderly people.
